Lightweight and easy to deploy, they enhance operational flexibility while maintaining the highest standards of safety.

We have a number of solutions for defence applications to ensure naval platforms are prepared for harsh operational demands.

ContraFlame® MS400
For underdeck protection
  • Tested and DNV certified for underdeck H120 (IMO 2010 FTP 3)
  • Successfully tested to jet fire and high heat flux events
  • System weight (pending application thickness) 9.3 to 12.5kg/m²
  • Surface spread of flame Class 1, BS476 part 7
  • Tested and DNV certified for bulkhead H60 (IMO 2010 FTP 3)
  • Acoustic reduction -50dB (ISO10140 76:20:1987)
  • Pass blast overpressure testing 1 bar kW/m²
  • U-value up to 0.29W/m²K.
ContraFlex® PFP jackets
Manufactured to maximise equipment efficiency and lifecycle in extreme weather conditions
  • ISO 22899-1:2007 - Determination of resistance to jet fires of passive fire protection materials
  • UL 1709 - Standard for rapid rise fire tests of protection materials for structural steel
  • ISO 20340:2009 - Performance requirements for protective paint systems for offshore structures
  • ISO 11507 - Exposure for paint coatings and ISO 9227 - corrosion tests for salt spray
  • IACS UR S14.2.3 - Testing procedures of watertight compartments, a requirement of NORSOK R-004: All jacket materials have been subjected to the general and Class 5 - fire protection requirements.
ContraBlast® panels
Extensively tested for use in offshore or onshore environments
  • IMO 2010 FTP Code Part 3 - IMO Resolution MSC 307(88), under a hydrocarbon HC fire curve according to EN 1363-2:1999
  • ISO 22899-1:2009 - Determination of resistance to jet fires of passive fire protection materials
  • The ContraFlame® MS400 foam (at the ContraBlast® panel core) has also passed HHF jet fire scenarios for 60-minutes duration
  • ISO 20340 - Accelerated ageing and weathering of the D2004 laminate system which meets the performance requirements of NORSOK
  • M501 edition 6th Feb 2012 system one
  • Our ContraBlast® panels provide significant weight saving over steel blast walls.
