AIS provides winterisation protection for cold facilities across a multitude of industries year after year. With decades of experience and a proven track record in keeping facilities safe and operational, our ContraFlex® removable jackets are the ideal solution for protecting your process pipework and equipment.

Why insulate your facility?

Leaving process equipment such as pipes, flanges, valves, and machinery exposed over the winter could lead to frost and ice build-up. This can lead to the loss of flow assurance, and/or the formation of wax and crystallisation in the pipeline.

As a result, valves and other moving parts may cease to work, or monitors may provide you with incorrect readings. Aside from reduced functionality, this could permanently damage the pipes, resulting in an expensive replacement as well as business downtime. This risk becomes even more pertinent for pipes that are small, outdoors, or in colder climates.

Why winterisation matters: ContraFlex® insulation jackets

As temperatures drop, unprotected equipment becomes vulnerable due to exposure to the elements. This often results in frozen lines, reduced flow, damaged valves, and costly downtime. Maintenance teams will need to consider these challenges to reduce the potential impact of drops in temperature.
