On Thursday 23 November 2023, AIS was presented with the Kings Award for Enterprise: International Trade by Edward Gillespie OBE, the Lord Lieutenant of Gloucestershire. Edward was generous with his time and spoke passionately about the Awards, of business in Gloucestershire, and our achievement throughout the presentation.

The King’s Awards for Enterprise carries on Queen Elizabeth II’s legacy of recognising outstanding UK businesses. The Awards programme is now in its 57th year and maintains its reputation as the most prestigious business award in the country.

Lord Lieutenant, Edward Gillespie, OBE had this to say:

"Congratulations again for achieving a successful outcome to your hard work in making the nomination.

I thoroughly enjoyed meeting many of the team and seeing how the manufacture process works. It was exactly how I hoped the event would happen. I hope the new crystal looks good with the previous Awards."

This Award recognises our outstanding short-term growth throughout the judging period in key markets including China, Brazil, the United States, Malaysia and Ghana. By diversifying our portfolio, we strengthened our position in these regions and notably, much of this success was during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Award is now proudly displayed among our previous Queen’s Awards.
