Advanced Insulation continues its expansion into the renewable offshore and subsea sector, jointly developing a new corrosion prevention solution with CWind that will be revealed for the first time at Offshore Wind in Hamburg between the 25th and 28th September.

In recent years, an increasing number of offshore wind operators have raised concerns surrounding the dangers of internal corrosion inside structures above and below wave level. The development of this solution came as a direct reaction to calls for innovation in the area from companies who are looking for a resolution to the potential impact corrosion will have on asset integrity and life of field of offshore windfarms.

Joe Bowes, Global Sales Manager for Renewable Energy at AIS commented:

“At Global Offshore Wind, we will present at our speaker slot as a partnership for the first time, providing a full overview of the capability of our new systems. We are delighted to announce our joint venture with CWIND to bring these innovative solutions to the offshore wind market.”

Ian Bryan, Director of Corporate Development at Global Marine Group, parent company of CWind, commented:

“At CWind, we see issues arising from corrosion in the offshore wind industry on a daily basis. By combining the extensive experience in offshore materials science of Advanced Insulation and offshore wind O&M of CWind, we have created a unique offering to provide asset owners with a full engineering, production and installation solution to this industry challenge.”

Andrew Bennion, Managing Director of Advanced Insulation, commented:

“An invaluable opportunity to partner our ten years of expertise in material sciences with that of CWind, a leading asset management provider, presented itself in 2018. By joining forces with one of the market leaders in offshore engineering, installation and maintenance, we have significantly enhanced our product offering and can now identify and solve corrosion issues on offshore wind farms with heightened efficiency.”
