It is great to be able to share some exciting news regarding our ongoing efforts towards sustainability and reducing our carbon footprint. As part of our commitment to embracing renewable energy sources, we have successfully installed solar photovoltaic (PV) systems at two of our sites: Paxton Place and Stanley Way in Skelmersdale, following the footsteps of our earlier installations in Gloucester.

These installations mark a significant step forward in our journey towards utilising green energy and reducing our CO2 emissions. By harnessing the power of solar energy, we are not only reducing our reliance on traditional energy sources but also taking proactive measures to protect our planet.

At Paxton Place, we have installed 255 panels, while at Stanley Way, we have installed a remarkable 996 panels. Together, these systems are forecasted to generate 480,000 kWh per annum, equivalent to running approximately 135 average homes. Furthermore, the estimated carbon offset from these installations is equivalent to planting a staggering 4,275 trees annually.

This means that across all our sites, we generate a combined 1MW of renewable energy each year!

It's important to recognise that reducing our carbon emissions is not just responsible, but is also an opportunity to lead by example in sustainability practices. By integrating solar panels into our operations, we are minimising our environmental impact and paving the way for a greener future.

Thank you to everyone involved in making these installations possible.

Andrew Bennion concludes;

“AIS will continue to explore innovative ways to incorporate sustainability into every aspect of our business operations. Together, we can make a lasting difference on our journey towards a more sustainable and eco-friendly future.”
