CRP Subsea’s innovative integral clamp buoyancy solution will be used on dynamic umbilicals to maintain a lazy wave configuration on the riser system to the floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel. Using an integral compliant clamping technology ensures a uniform clamping pressure. This eliminates the risk of damage to the cable. As a result of our integral buoyancy module having fewer component parts, there is the added benefit of faster and more cost-effective installation.

James Harrison, Key Account Manager at CRP Subsea states:

“This award helps strengthen our relationship with a market-leading umbilical manufacturer and builds on our unrivalled track record for buoyancy clamping solutions. We are extremely proud to have been chosen to supply our innovative integral buoyancy modules for this project and look forward to working together again in the future.”

Manufactured at our world class buoyancy production facility in the North West of England, delivery has been completed with installation due later this year.

Integral buoyancy modules clamp directly to subsea pipelines providing buoyancy at specific locations. They combine the functions of the traditional clamp and buoyancy elements into one unit, so there is no need for a separate internal clamp assembly. Integral buoyancy modules offer improved handleability using an innovative lightweight installation tool, providing enhanced safety.
