AIS delivers a combined PFP and jacket solution
Samsung Heavy Industries provided a unique challenge. They required cold conservation jackets in combination with passive fire protection (PFP) for jet fire scenarios for up to 15 minutes. We fully scoped the liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility, which is located offshore near Malaysia, in order to provide the most effective solution.

Reduce health and safety risk and improve the working environment, by insulating key plant and equipment to reduce noise pollution. Our acoustic jackets/blankets have been tested in accordance with internationally recognised ISO 15665: and ISO 10140-2:2010.

Using world-renowned facilities (the Peutz B.V. facility in the Netherlands) we provide our customers with guaranteed expert, impartial and independent testing. Tested in accordance to internationally recognised standards.
70% quicker to install and maintain
Carrying out routine maintenance operations on equipment is straightforward using our acoustic jackets as they have been designed to be rapid to fit or refit, saving time and money.
Customisable
AIS provides a range of insulation infills for transmission loss (Rw) of up to 52dB, and insertion loss on piping, flanges and valves under class A, B, C and DEP D.

  • First fit velcro type installation
  • ISO 10140 transmission loss for up to 52dB (Rw)
  • ISO 15665 acoustics for piping, flanges and valves: Class A, B, C and Shell DEP 31.46.00.31
  • Specific testing and consultation available for rotating equipment packages (turbines, compressors and pumps)
  • Operational range between -55 °C and +550 °C
  • Specific labelling or tagging can be provided for traceability, maintenance, identification and inspection purposes
  • As standard, our jackets/blankets have a durable outer cloth that is weather and oil resistant.
