Introduction to leak detection jackets/blankets

ContraFlex® leak detection jackets/blankets are designed with a variety of coated textiles that react to acids, alkali, or steam. They are convenient to install to reduce on site application time, energy efficient and made bespoke to fit around awkward pipe features, valves, vessels, and flanges.

Four configurations
ContraFlex® leak detection jackets/blankets come in four main configurations depending on the reagent type: acid / alkaline, steam, alkaline and acid. They change colour depending on the reagent detected.
Personnel protection
ContraFlex® leak detection jackets/blankets act as a spray shield that protects people in the event of a leak. The colour change helps quickly identify the danger.
Quick, convenient indicator
Our leak detection jackets help operators to quickly identify challenges within the plant or facility for safer working environments.

Specifications

  • Changes colour depending on reagent type
  • Jackets change colour within 25 minutes depending on the concentration and reagent type.
  • Changes white when in contact with steam
  • Purple textile turns brown on contact with alkaline
  • Green textile turns yellow in contact with acid
