Early indications are that COVID-19 is impacting the industry, but these impacts are currently manageable. Given the significant growth in this industry, we have seen an increase in the need for crew transfer and measurement vessels.

We recently produced cast fendering for a crew transfer vessel for a customer operating a European windfarm who was looking for a solution that would be lightweight and provide protection against the variable and often frequently changing marine conditions.

Our cast fender system provided the customer with:

• Quick and easy installation – by gluing the fender directly to the hull
• Reduced fuel costs – our cast fenders are lighter than traditional fendering, which can result in cost savings
• A lighter vessel – able to travel safely at higher speed
• Confidence that the high energy absorption of the cast fendering will reduce the effect of any impact.
